Cathasaigh – Pittsburgh’s Favorite Solo/Acoustic Performer in Concert at the Oasis
The Oasis Coffee Center is an upscale Community Center where the Congregation of Zion engages the Community around us in many ways. Some of the area’s finest locally roasted coffees and lattes are available; along with smoothies, Italian sodas, hand crafted milkshakes, and Pierogies from Pittsburgh’s most popular vendor – Pierogies Plus. The Oasis give us a venue where people who would not normally walk into our Sanctuary can hear the Gospel, surf the Internet with our house computers, and talk ‘one on one’ with our volunteer Staff about the Lord and their lives. The computers and other equipment were made possible by a generous Grant from “the Birmingham Foundation”, which we deeply appreciate.
We hold awesome Christian concerts at times. Our Men’s, Women’s, Young Adults, Saturday morning Discussion group, and Game Night are all held at the Oasis. Many other Churches and Community groups hold Public Meetings at the Oasis; including Pittsburgh’s Mayor Ravenstahl, our local Councilwoman, various Political & other organizations, and our local District Justice.
The Oasis is also a place where Refugee Services are held several days a week. The Bhutanese Refugee population is growing rapidly in Carrick. The Oasis is a place where they receive help with paperwork and English language skills on many levels from two other organizations as well as from Zion Christian Church.
The Oasis is available for rent at reasonable rates for groups and parties. Check us out!
